Version 3.0.1

3D View Command

Overview

The “3D View Command” opens a new 3D view of the model. A 3D view shows the whole model
as a solid and is the view the element commands, the object snaps and the selection are
normally used in. Several 3D views can be open at the same time, each with its own view
direction, projection and shade mode.

The command can be started in any of the following ways:

  1. Click the “3D” button on the CreateView panel of the View tab.
  2. Enter “_CmdView3D” in the prompt window.

Usage

The command takes no input. A new 3D view is opened and becomes the active view.

Use the “Change View Command”, the “Change projection Command” and the “Change Shade mode
Command” to set up the new view, and the “DivideView Command” to split it into several
cells. To arrange the open views inside the workspace, use the “Cascade Command”, the
“TileHorz Command” or the “TileVert Command”.
