Regen Command

Overview

The “Regen Command” rebuilds the display data of the selected objects. The shape of an
object is turned into triangles when it is first displayed, and this command throws that
result away and creates it again. Use it when the picture in the view does not match the
model any more, for example after the attributes of an instance have been edited in the
Property View.

The command can be started in any of the following ways:

  1. Right-click an item in the Project View and choose “Regen” from the context menu.
  2. Enter “_CmdRegen” in the prompt window.
  3. Enter its alias “regen” in the prompt window.

Usage

Here is an explanation of how the “Regen Command” is typically used:

  1. Start the command.

  2. Select the objects when the prompt “Select objects to be vectorised.” is displayed.
If objects are already selected when the command is started, the selection prompt is
skipped and the current selection is used.

  3. The display data of the selected objects is created again and the views are updated.

One run of the command is registered as one step, so a single “Undo Command” reverts the
whole regeneration.
