DivideView Command
Overview
The “DivideView Command” splits the active 3D view into several cells, so that the model
can be looked at from more than one direction at the same time without opening more
windows. Each cell keeps its own view direction and projection.
The command can be started in any of the following ways:
- Choose an entry from the view division combo box on the View panel of the View tab.
- Enter “_CmdViewDiv” in the prompt window.
Usage
Here is an explanation of how the “DivideView Command” is typically used:
-
Make the 3D view you want to split the active view.
-
Start the command. When it is started from the prompt window, the prompt “Input the
number of views.” is displayed. Enter the number that stands for the layout you want.
The combo box on the ribbon supplies the number for you. -
The active view is divided and each cell is drawn separately. Click in a cell to make
it the current one.
